A long block comes with everything you need for a engine install. Block, head, manifolds, etc.

A short block comes with just the block and its components. Block, crank, rods, pistons.

EXAMPLE: H22A Longblock: http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30026

Notice how it has everything needed to install it, except for other minor components.

B20B JDM Engine Long block

Are you getting JDM? We sell only high quality JDM engines. We get regular containers for fresh shipments with only the highest Japanese supplies to help insure a long life with you and your new purchased engine. What others sell? Some of us never know, but here are some key things to watch out for...

Japanese market (JDM) B16A motors are labeled with a "B16A" stamp. There is NO suffix (e,g, B16A2 or B16A3) like the US, Asian or European counterparts. Hence it is not easy to tell just by looking at the block stamp. Though some suppliers and sellers reference engines as a B16A(2), this is only to signify that it is a 2nd generation engine. Always look closely at the engine codes.

THATS WHAT I'M PLAING ON BUYING

Yep, Steve @ Hmotors is a great guy, I have been buying from him for alomst 5 years with absolutely no complaints.

I have never heard of a "norcal engine block" but a long block is basically everything except the transmission.
