Default 92 Accord EX 2dr factory moonroof leaks

Has anyone experienced a leak with their factory moonroof. If so what have you done to fix the problem, other than sealing it shut with silone wich is not an option for me.

I'm not sure if the seal around the glass is replaceable, but that is why I'm asking you guys for help.

My car is a 92 Accord EX coupe with 59k miles. I barely opened this moonroof in the 14 years I have owned this car.

Thanks Philip

The rubber around the moon-roof is not meant to seal the water out. There is a drain (sort of gutter) around underneath it which drains through a tube. Something is clogging the drain tube (probably accumulated dirt from lack of cleaning). If you pour a glass of water on it, you should see the water drain under the car. I'm not sure exactly where it comes out though.

This is the first time I have heard of such thing. Is this tube visible. Today has been a total washout with ERNESTO ruining my getaway labor day weekend. Instead I'm home so I'll check it out tomorrow.

Thanks for the input. It will be somewhere to start looking.

I'm not sure how you would clear it but, it ends up near the front tires, or wheel well.

Compressed air (what is used to clean keyboards) should be able to clean out your sunroof drains. I wish I could help you more, but I am not familiar with the 4th Gen.

I've never tried to clear out the drains, so I can't really help you there, but they normally drain down the inside of the A-pillar and out to the back of the fenderwell.
