I have a 96 accord 4 cyl 2.2 automatic. Some tranny problems that I have been having with it lately are:
- rough shifting at 2-3 gear
- car speeds up slowly
- noise at 2000 rpms like there's not enough fluid in there but I checked it and its full
- sometimes the car doesnt raise speed unless I press harder on the gas pedal

There are days when the tranny works smooth and doesn't really shift that roughly, but then other times it shifts very rough

 

No CEL or anything? No lights staying on or anything? How long has it been since your last AT fluid change.

 

lights don't stay on and the fluid looks fine, its not dirty. it all started with a little jerk around 40 mph and now it shifts roughly. and sometimes it switches gears at weird times like it doesn't know what its doing.
