Default After replacing windsheild?

Just got my car back from the shop after installing the new windsheild for the lude' *130 plus lifetime replacement warranty not bad*. Anyways it has the blue tape- guy said wait 24 hours to take it off, or wash it. He also said to make sure the windows aren't rolled up when i close my door? Have any of you heard this before- i dont want to have my windows down all night. Ive never had a windsheild replaced so some help would be nice- i searched and only found a match for a guy wanting to do this himself. thanx.

So you are supposed to leave the windows rolled down. That is just asking for someone to come and steal your car.

How is closing the door with your windows up going to be any different than having them down.

Close your windows before that guy comes to your house and steals your car or takes something from it.

i dont see the logic to that. my bro had his back 1/4 window replaced and they didnt say ne thing like that. the only logical explanation i can think of is letting the glue dry. but shouldn't havta sit 24 hrs with windows down i mean roll em up over night and down in the morning

hmmm... Sounds fishy to me.
If you have a garage, take the time to pull up in that ****...
otherwise I think you'll find yourself radio/speakerless, along with whatever else may be of value on the inside...

it's probably just a suggestion to make sure there isn't any pressure on the window when you slam the doors. Just roll them up and close the door gently....or just crack one or crack the sunroof open

its about the air pressure in the car, when you slam the doors the air in the car is compressed and it should go out the vent in the rear quarter underneath the rear bumper. Surely the window fitter has used the new Sikaflex sealant which seals in less than 3 hours?

Crack the sunroof and close the door lightly.

thanx for the responses guys- i figured it was something about the air pressure being in the car. I actually left the windows down last night- no garage either, i guess i got lucky this time nothing got stolen or jakced- just a little bit of leaves from the tree. Thanx for the responses though peace.
