Default APC intake for a '94 Accord

I bought a used '94 Accord. A friend of mine gave me an intake made by APC. The intake came with a single hose, but with it attached there is a vacuum hose left unattached. The vacuum hose looks like it goes into a sensor. Does anyone know if leaving this vacuum hose open will hurt anything? Or is there a y-connector that can fix the problem?

Yes. It's a 5 spd 4 cyl to boot. If that matters.

The intake needs to have a hose coming from the valve cover to the intake.
I will see if I can find a pic for you.

Hopefully, you can understand what these 3 pictures are showing.
The hose needs to comeout from the valve cover (best showh on 3rd pic) and go to the intake....

I think I'm about to prove my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. I do have the hose connected to the intake and going to the part of the engine that contains the spark plugs. The hose attaches just behind the last spark plug on the left hand side. There is a second vacuum hose that apparently goes to a sensor behind the spark plugs. It doesn't touch them. It was attached to the factory intake, but there is no junction on the APC intake for it.

That should be the only hose. All I remember having when I put my K&N intake on my Accord. The little box you remove under right around the battery I can't think of the name right now might have had a hose. Is it coming from that?

It's not coming from the box around the battery. There's a black cylinder next to the throttle cable. The hose goes to that. I think it's a type of air sensor.

The filter on the end of the cold air intake kit doesn't have to go below, where the black box was located w/ stock air filter? I have a 96 accord and trying to figure out if I can keep the new filter located in the area where the black box is, or does it need to be routed down to the other black box behind the bumper? Just confused, don't have any instructions. Can you help?

I think you cap off that part. You can buy the little caps to put on that vacuum connector.

As far as I know about cold air intakes, it should go down behind the bumper.

That's what I was thinking. There doesn't seem to be any problems b/c of that hose not being attached.
