Default DOHC ZC Questions

Just swapped a dohc zc into my 91 SI hatch, still running the stock computer. Is it worth getting a pm7 or having my stock ecu chipped or ar the differences minor.. If so, where can I get mine chipped or find a jdm pm7?

Yeah you'll notice some differences with a PM7 or chipped PM6 (more aggressive fuel mapping), although the JDM PM7 is kind of hard to find I guess.

you could use turboedit for this..go here http://xenocron.com/te.php?page=basemap you'll notice all the way down there are some bins,,there is a stock pm7 rom down there..yeah its true finding that ecu can be a pain, just chip it as long as you have the "chippable" pm6 ,,,and 90-91 are usually all chippable so you should be good.

in this case its all gravy...cause he will be putting a stock program on a chip thats made to work for the dohc zc....But most of those generic chips off ebay,,,,all they do is advance timing, remove limiters, and run rich on purpose......As long as you have the right program on the chip everything will be good.......
