We have no wideband, egts,no data log what so ever so we change plugs every other run just cause were always reading them. The setup is 800hp on meth. If I didn't read them I'd prolly leave them in there for about 10 passes.

i check them every pass and change them every morning at the track after the car warms up for the first time. the plugs will last forever, but they are cheap so why risk it.

What about the guys using iridiums? I've never had to change mine once last year (although I only made maybe 20 passes) unless I was having tuning problems and wet them down too much.

i ran BKR8EIX gapped at .025 i ran them for 3k miles, over 22psi on the GT35R with them, some race gas. Drove the crap out of the car. Pulled the plugs and they looked very good. I also ran BKR7E's gapped the same, did the same stuff checked them at 3-4k and had very little wear. So i would change the copper ones every oil change, but the iridiums i would go 10k miles maybe a little less

ive only changed my plugs twice since running at over 400hp (about 2k miles) ive done prolly 10 passes on each set but lots of street driving/boosting...

i was thinking about switching to iridiums...but i just run normal ngk's at teh moment...

I put a new set everytime I go to the track, usually 3-5 runs. Than I will run the same plugs on the street until I go back to the track.

we have been running the NGK iridiums the last 2 seasons - last year we were freaks about changing the plugs - at least once a race weekend - towards the end of last year and continuing into this season my wallet starting hurting with all the plug changes - iridiums ain't cheap so we have been running 3-4 races on the same set of plus with no ill effects that we have seen at all

a set per weekend for NGK 10s. They are like 2 bucks a piece, well worth it.

That's because you have a good ignition system. It's amazing how long plugs last with a decent ignition system!

It is, I sold them an ignition system and they haven't had to worry about it since, unlike the people who go through MSD components like they go through spark plugs.

The reason i don't run MSD is just because i've had so many problems with their products in the past. There's plenty of people like you who have not had problems with their stuff, and that's great. I work with a lot of different cars and have had enough problems with their stuff that i won't use it anymore. That's all...

haha, give yourself a pat on the butt for me

only downfall of the system is running the expensive iridium plugs, we have had zero issues with it though - works great

during the 2004 season when we were running the coupe we were actually running the MSD SCI-L box, blaster ss coil, and ngk coppers - made over 700 hp with that setup with really no issues either - although i would just give it some time for something to pop up that is one of the main reasons for the change over to the CDI box, CBR coil, and cam angle sensor setup

bump for tony1 though - his setup works

I run M&W Pro 10 on my setup and works great. I also saw the harness from Tony and Art for Rota92, I wish they had the harness when I bought mine from them.
