if im doing a conversion on a del sol with a eg front where on the fender from the eg do i have to cut and where on the del sol fenders do i have to cut? any help please?

 

I would guess you would use the majority of the Del Sol fender, then just modify the front of the fender to accept the front curvature and turn signal area from the EG fender.

I'd have to say, if I can figure it out sittin here, and your havin a tough time with the parts in your hand, your project seems pretty doomed.

 

Well from the past 5 eg fronts I have done on delsols you will need to cut the eg fender ten inches back from the headlight on a 45 degree angle following the a-pillar. On the del sol you will need to cut 17 inches from the a-pillar on a 45 degree perpendicular to the a-pillar.


This is going to take alot of test fitting and mock up. If someone has done one I would bet money that they did not take these kinds of measurements. You are going to need to know about body work, know where to cut that will follow contour best.

If someone did make measurements for cuts there is probably a fair bit of variance as far as options as to where the cuts are made.

As posted above, if this is something you have to ask these kinds of questions about you may be getting into something you arent ready for.
