Default extended top hat problem

when i cut the top piece off of the top hat to weld on the extra inch of piping, i guess i grinded off too much when i was smoothing it out.

i measured the hole and it was 2in's wide. so i used a 2in wide piece of pipeing and welded it all back... now, when i went to put it on my car it's a lil too wide to fit through the shock tower hole.

question is, can i grind down the shock tower hole? or just start all over?

Yeah that's what I've been saying lol. I guess the walls are too thick on the pipe then since you used 2in too.

Are you guys using piping or tubing? I wouldn't trust the suspension of my car to be held together by exhaust piping! Tubing is much stronger.

All you need to do is to measure the ID and OD, head out to a shop that sells tubing, and get them to hack the lengths you need.

"piping"
