What are some good brands? I've seen a few Power Acoustik, StarVision, Audiobahn, Boss, Soundstream and Directed stuff. Any recommendations? Any brands to avoid? Any help would be appreciated....

 

Don't tell me you went downtown on 11 street, lol. Well power acoustik and soundstream and farenhite are the same company. audiobahn and pioneer uses the same screen. Boss uses china parts and is not made over here. Directed is real good. Most company uses the same screen. Its the electronics that are diffrent. Thats why the pictures come out diffrent. Stick with a name brand and you can't go wrong. Find something that has the features that you really need and go from there.

I say pioneer, alpine, savve or directed.

I already have a screen....a 7" TFT LCD drop down. I just need a straight DVD player with TV Tuner. Front RCA Inputs HIGHLY preferred...

Directed DV2605 & Boss DVD-490T are among those that I found with the front inputs and tv tuner. I did find a Soundstream and Power Acoustik that looked similar to the Boss....I need something that is mostly or all black to "blend in" with the OEM tape deck....
