I was looking for a pair of snow tires and a pair of performance. now the normal tire I use for the performance are the falken 512s size 205-55-r15.
I was planning on getting snow tires but what I was looking at (hankooks) only came in 195-55-r15.
its a 1.81% difference from the 205 to the 195
so what kindof effect would having the 195s on the front and the 205s on the back
P.S. I have abs.
I really wanted to know if anyone has run different sized tires front and back on a car with abs.

but I dont need another set or rims I am asking about tires.
I was just looking to see if anyone has run different size rims/tire combination on the front and the back and how it effected abs.

You will have more understeer. For front wheel drive cars you should have the opposite set-up. Wider in the front and smaller in the rear.

I know someone that has bigger tires on the back of her accord. I'm not really sure if she has abs, I would guess she does, but then again her car was all hacked up. Two different wheels and tires.

those have a 1.33% difference and you said it it didnt have an effect on abs so thats good.
anyone else have experience with running different size tires front and back maybe a little more drastic?

i personally wouldn't run those 512's in the winter if you can avoid it.
and the car will OVERSTEER in the heavy snow and slushy snow. this is b/c the wider tire will float and not dig in like the front. anyone that drives in a lot of snow will know this. you want skinny tall winter tires in front for a FWD vehicle.
but honestly, if you know how to drive, that will do fine and NOT affect abs. i've driven many cars including my lude with different size tires and it will not affect it as long as you don't have different size tires left to right (in my experience).
also i run hankook 404 winter radials 195/65/15's on the front of my car and i'm lowered 1.75 in the front. i've never had a problem with them.

yonk do you have a 5th or a 4th gen. I have a 4th gen lowered with eibach sportlines. I am not sure if i can run 195/65/15 but they are about 25 bucks cheaper per tire then 195/55/15.
and if i run the 195/65/15 they are 4.6% off in size from the 205/55/15
I am not sure if I would want to run the 65s in the front for the winter while the 205s are in the back.(4.6% off)
I have run the 512s a bit bald in the winter and they did alright so I am fine with running them in the back.
and I understand I want a taller less wide tire for snow.

no one cares what your friend or your cousin's mom is running, if you don't have any idea what you are talking about then find some other thread to up your post count
all this guy needs is a 195/60/15.....almost the exact same height as stock
you want a skinnier tire in the snow like someone said above so that it will dig and not float
why don't i just lay out all the near stock sizes for you so we don't have to keep going through this
195/60/15
205/55/15
195/55/16
205/50/16
225/45/16
205/45/17
225/40/17

the only reason i opted for the 195/65's is because one, they were cheaper. and two, they are taller, effectively making the gear ratios longer, which provides slightly less power to the wheels.
and the 195/65's tucked a little in the front but never rubbed in my experience. if you lowered heavily, go with stock diameter.
