Default Which AC bracket to use for a b18b1 in a 91 crx?

I'm putting A/c back into my crx that has a b18b1 in it. Can someone please tell me which one it is so I can grab it from a junkyard soon?

TIA!

There are a lot of opinions as to what will work, this is mine, for what it's worth.

The Del Sol (p54) and CRV brackets that a lot of people will say work, will notwork with the original Sanden compressor (and have all four attachment bolts)! I've tried test fitting a Sanden on the P54 and it's a no-go (trust me if you want, or not).

The P54 will allow you to use the compressor that is normally attached to it, but the attachment of your original hoses is questionable. I just don't know if it works or not.

The Hasport bracket kit does allow you to bolt on the original compressors. In other words, it works for both the Sanden and also Mitsu (sp) compressor. This is the most straight forward method!

In most cases, you have no fitment issues with the Hasport unit, and that includes full width radiators. You may have clearance issues with the factory fan that is on the drivers side.

Here is a write-up on what I had to do (in most cases, it's a lot easier than what I was faced with!!!!!);

I have a half radiator in mine. I'll let you know which compressor I am getting later today. Maybe that will help you tell me which bracket I need?

That is how I did mine, you have to mod the crossmember too.
Your other option is the hasport bracket.

I've got to say;

I'm real impressed with the mod that "CLE" did to get a 90 teg mount to work. The page is written real well with photos that can be clicked to a larger version.

I can't take credit for the mod, I was refered that page, however following his steps my bracket came out pretty much exactly like his. Made it easily on my first try, I had never fabricated anything before, just jumped in feet first.
If anyone decides to do this mod, the belt you use is Autozone duralast belt 332k4.
I had to buy/return 5 belts before I found the right one lol

CLE;

Are you saying that you didn't author that page or just that you didn't come up with the original idea?

The compressor I got does NOT look like this one...The one I just bought has the coolant line mounts right next to each other. I Cant find a stamp or anything on it to tell me who the manufacturer is...Well, there is a stamp but looks like everything was wiped off of it somehow and all I can see is a number that was stamped into it....

Go to the Hasport web site and they have photos of the two different types of compressors that were used on our cars.

damn, I'm an idiot. I didnt see your first post in the thread with the link to that bracket mod.

I am thinking that I can weld some material onto my DC torque mount/ AC bracket and tap some new holes into it...Gonna test this theory soon...If it doesnt work out I will hit you guys up for that custom bracket...

Can anyone tell me if I need what plugs into the two plugs on the right to get the A/C to work? I dont have those relays...

Also, does this mockup look correct to you? I did it as best I could by looking at the car and the lines I have...

oh yea....Is it good or bad if you can hear/feel something moving inside the filter/dryer? My old one, I cant hear or feel anythign moving in it, but the one I got with the lines and compressos I can feel and hear something moving around inside...

I will be modifying my b18b1 bracket the way CLE did for this prohect. I already had some of that metal strip bar laying around too Just need to get myself a metric tap set...
