89 accord......any ideas
I have an 89 accord lxi that keeps over heating. I have replaced the radiator, thermostat and a t-joint thing. I am not sure why it keeps overheating but I am in dire need for it to work. I am a medical specimen transporter I have to use my 84 accord to do my route (160 miles) 5 days a week and it does not have the power I need to get around traffic in a quick manner.
I am hoping someone on here can tell me how to fix the overheating and get me safely back on the road.
I was also wondering if I just can't fix it, is their a newer model that I can swap engines with that will bolt to the current 5spd manual trans.?
We thank you for all your help in advance,
Big D

Overheating conditions in an otherwise intact cooling system are normally the result of a stuck thermostat, lack of coolant, bad water pump, or clogged radiator. A bad thermo switch that does not activate the cooling fan or bad fan motor could cause the problem also.
More serious causes include blown head gasket (with resultant coolant loss).
