Default D16A6 cam (Delta 272) questions - tuning related

Ideally I'm looking for a TE ROM. I know this cam will require tuning, but I cannot find anyone who has tuned it properly, and has a basemap.

I know the cam will make power, but has anyone gotten it to run right (at all stock-like?)

your probably not going to find a existing tune for that cam.

can you tune with TE? (do you know how)

its not that hard to tune cars to run well, WOT (and making power) tunes take more experience. you might want to talk to some of the experienced TE guys (PGMFI.org)

thanks, believe me I've been searching on pgmfi.org for a while. I haven't made any posts yet. Is it ok to request roms in the OBDO non-vtec section?

do you have a wideband? access to a dyno if you want to dial-it-in 100%?

honestly, it'll probably make decent power on a stock map with a few percentage points of fuel added, and maybe a hair more ignition timing. who knows though. other mods?

the compression will be about 10:4, I'll also be running a y7 head which has bigger ports.

tune it for a nice 14-15:1 partial throttle tune, and richer for WOT...for a street tune. you need to use a dyno to max out the power, and it'll take a few hours.

see if anyone has worked over similar setups, and see if you can steal some info from them. (probably not many people have tuned similar setups with TE though)

good luck

I think I'm just going to go OBD1 with a Z6 head.
