Need help removing stripped nut
Well i was told the other day that i needed to loop my dump tube into my exhaust because its still considered an exhaust leak and they wont pass me for my state inspections. So i went home to try and take my downpipe off to bring it to the shop. removing most of the bolts fine i come this one which is actullay a stud with a nut and try to loosen it but its on so tight that i take off all the edges of the nut thinkin i loosend it. I tried to use the propane torch and heat it up and use vise grips but im just taking more metal off the nut. I just need suggestions on how to remove the nut. the turbo is a 14b
keep on torchin! there are certain sockets that they make for rounded edges on nuts/bolts, its some kind of gripper company,,,anyways i think it might be to late for that,,,you probably could have saved it with that. Your best bet is going to be just torching it until it finally breaks loose.
o ya i put pb blaster on it still nothing...but like you said im keep torchin it. is there a certain way to torch and do you thibnk the propane torch will get it hot enough
