When doing this what is most reccomended? This is what I plan on doing:
Jackin up the car, removing the fender skins, belts and the pulleys. Removing
the Head, the pan, pickup and windage tray, and oil pump. Crank engine to
BDC on all cylinders, clean the ridge, remove the pistons and rods from the top.
Cover the crank with a think plastic cover like visqueen or a trash bag. Hone stock
bore with honing tool, wash sleeves with dish soap, dry and lube with oil immediately. Install new ITR pistons, endyn rods with the proper bearings and Endyn prepped ITR oil pump and front main seal. I want to put the car back on a Honda gasket with the inner layer removed, using copper gasket spray to cure the layers together and insure proper seating. I already have a gasket and the 120 is an issue for another mugen. My head is milled .0010" so, with the .50mm stock 2 layer gasket and the mill I will be @ .47mm anyways. I hear changing the trust washer is good, how hard is this to do?
I have:
Endyn .5mm over flat ss EX valves, ITR intakes and will have ITR stock
sized pistons. I estimate I will be at @ 11.3-5:1 compression. I plan on
hand polishing the ports and the combustion area around the valves as
well
I want a streetable, better than stock setup with good durability.Am I on the right track?
