Default Do you use a 2-step/FTL/launch control?

If you have used both, which do you prefer? The reason I ask is because I am using FTL on Crome now, but I was thinking off turning it off and just launching the old fashioned way.

I am on BFG drag radials BTW....

I've always launched just by using the throttle, no antilag or two step. Always had good luck.

i always hated the FTL in crome because it was fuel cut and not ign cut. you just don't get the same responce out of it then you would a msd 2 step, liek if you launch as the crom FTL is dropping down to the resume rpm then you have to wait till it catches up.

just my opinion.

I use 2step/antilag on slicks but not on drag radials.

hey dude, i'm rarely ever on AIM, if you ever want to set up a time to toss some ideas just PM me here or spokanespeed.

I use Crome's FTL and it works quite nicely for me (I'm able to build 5-6 pounds of boost with it).

What ive noticed is that after you set the FTL rpm resume ( i set mine for 25rpms), it takes some trial and error to dial in the launch RPM.

Make sure when you are launching the pedal is all the way down! and then go about figurering out what RPM your car likes to launch at.

When i first started using it, i would sometimes depress the gas pedal only part way but enough to trigger FTL and i would get very inconsistent launches, similar to what you guys are describing with the 'rpms having to catch up.'

Damn I didn't know you still posted on HT.

Yeah I do make sure the pedal is all the way down. To be honest Im not sure what it is but my launches "feel" better w/o FTL.

I'm going to wait untill the next night they run times and see what my 60's will be without it.

Well there are two people building ~5 psi in crome with its FTL in this thread so obviously it works.

i've used both, FTL is more convenient. it's jus preference i guess cuz i still like the 2step on my digital 6. on my race car it was hard to keep control of the car out of launch so i had to get a firm grip on the wheel with my left hand (meaning i couldn't put my 2step button there) so i had to place my button on the right of my wheel which meant i couldn't keep my hand on the shifter during launch, but managed some niiice 60fts with the right combos with both of them.

Why wouldn't you just put your 2 step button on the shifter? I'm planning to do that (2 step along with my line lock activated with the same button) but maybe you know something I dont?
