Default how far does the castle nut on your lower balljoint go?

i recently installed new bushings on my front lower control arms, along with poly upper control arm bushings and poly compliance bushings. afterwards, i noticed a strange sound comng from the front when i hit small bumps or low curbs, sounds like a "plok". i suspect it's the lower balljoint, i torqued it down to spec, but when i look at it, the top of the castle nut is just flush with the ball joint stud. should the castle nut go further up on the balljoint stud? i was thinking it might be the poly bushings, but i would expect it to squeak, rather than go "plok"

IIRC, its pretty close to flush with the ball joint stud. not only that, but once that castle nut is tight, you know it. if you torqued it to spec, thats as far as it needs to go.

jack it up and check for play.

My Prelude has play in all 4 wheels. Front UCA's and a tie rod fixed the front, now on to the rear... :S
