Quick Question. Hope Someone Knows. I Have A 95 Accord With An External Coil And I Also Have A 94 Prelude H22 With An External Coil. Up To This Point Ive Been Running The Car With The Accord Coil Cause I Dont Have The Prelude One. Now What I Need To Know Is, Whats So Different About Them. They Look The Same, The Bolt Pattern Is The Same, They Even Weigh The Same. But They Are 2 Totally Different Part Numbers And The Accord One Cost More. If They Were Actually The Same Coil Then The Honda Part #'s Would Match Like All Other Compatible Things. Thanks.

 

UPDATE: I Did Some Research And Found Out That The External Coil In The 94-97 Accord Lx Is The Same Part # As The One Found In The 97 Prelude Models. The 92-96 Prelude Has A Different Part #. So The Accord Coil Should Be Fine In The 94 Lude I Guess.

 

I believe the 4th gen prelude have an internal coil v.s. external coil.
