Clunking Noise in Drivers Side Rear - Driving me CRAZY!
whats up everyone? I had the omni coilovers installed on my 99 accord coupe but due to a defect in their product - I was re-imbursed back the money and now I have the Tein SS coilovers. When I had the Omni's evertime I hit a bump when I was going at a slower speed (1-25 mph) I would hear a clunking sound coming from rear on both sides. I then later noticed this might be because the omni coilovers shock body was too big - so when it was dropped - the sway bar end link was griding right up against it - so when I hit a bump the shock body went up and down hitting the end links. So I got pissed and sent them back to Omni (by the way this was only a defect for the 98-02 V6 accords). Now I installed my Tein SS coilovers and I absolutly love them. However, I am still hearing the same noise however its only coming from the rear drivers side. I have a really good feeling its the sway bar end link on the drivers side because I messed around with trying to get the nut off when I was putting on my Omni's and again when I was putting on my Tien but didn't get it off due to the Hex I had sucked and didn't want to strip the hex opening on the bolt. Anyway, the noise really only seems to happen at slower speeds and especially when it turn and hit a bump at slower speeds. Can anyone give me any insight on what my problem might be and exactly how a sway bar end link works/ moves. This might help me find a cure for this frustrating problem. Thanks in advance. !!!!!!!!
