knocking noise from wheel.. wtf
it makes a knocking noise when i turn right., so i put it on jack stands to see whats up.
there is no leak from CV joints or anything. the axels are new . i just got a b16 a month ago! ... so then i started to turn the right wheel. first to the left and then to the right. the Right wheel turns with little resistence turned either way.
the LEFT wheel. only turns with little resistence while turned left. when i turn it right it has little resistence .. then alot then little again..
is that my problem? if so what is wrong with it?

also... i dont really feel the knocking noise thru the steering wheel. and it only happens to right, never going left. never going straight. only when turning right. could it also be bushing? cause most of mine are fucked.
Upper and lower balljoints will cause a loud knocking noise when the knuckle gets slightly out of alignment while the wheel is turned and the axle binds. If you are talking about turning your wheels by forcing them the feedback you are receiving is more than likely caused by the steering rack itself, this is normal. If you pout the car on jackstands with the wheels unloaded and shake the wheel and grab each balljoint with your other hand or have a friend watch them as you shake the wheel in 2 differnt planes, then you can determine whether it is a balljoint or tierod end that is in need of servicing.
