skunk2 or edelbrock manifold for turbo d16?

Default skunk2 or edelbrock manifold for turbo d16?

I was just wondering which manifold you guys prefer. I'am looking at putting in a 59300 cam and am want good midrange+topend and will want to make good power until 7800-8000rpms?

which manifold would work best for me? also, what size throttle body intlet do they have?

SKUNK2 all the way alot of good things come out of SKUNK2

do those manifolds even fit with out hitting the firewall? if you can fit it i would get the edelbrock victor-x..if you're gonna get skunk2 you might as well get a stock d16y8 intake manifold/w bored out throttlebody..

i thought it was the Skunk2 that had fitment issues?

And a lot of good products come out of Skunk2?

Well I don't know if it applys to D series but for B series I've always heard skunk 2 and AEBS were great for sub 300-400hp cars but over that the Victor X would be best....depends on your power goals...with NA you can go to big turbo is a different story

Completely different manifolds. The Victor X was designed by JG if i remember correctly and is a short runner/large plenum manifold that makes power from 7000-10000 rpm.

Performer X was designed by edelbrock for the d-series and makes power from ~4000-8000 rpm (or somewhere like that).

The debate between the skunk2 and the edelbrock has been going on since they came out and there is no real data supporting which one is better for which setup. I personally prefer the edelbrock manifold but i'd say the difference between the 2 is very small.

i gotta Skunk 2 Pro Series mani and i had to take a couple wacks at the firewall for the IVAC not to rub, But i Like The Produckt Itz Nice............. BTW D-series.
