Opinion: Used S2K price reasonable?
Ok guys, looking to pickup an S2K Here real soon. A buddy with a dealership has a 2001 S2K with 20K for mileage, silver selling it for $26k-27k. Do you think that's a good deal?
My main concern is that I'll be picking up an S2K at a bargain, but sacrificing the enhancements to the 2002, like the glass rear.
Also read in Top Gear that the 2002 UK version has better tweaked factory suspension, gearbox, steering and maybe even a mapping tweak to the ecu, but I don't know if we'll see these improvements in 2002 US models.
If its just suspension, the used model can be upgraded to full coil overs in any case. Any thoughts?
Anyone know what the probability is of getting a 2002 Black with Red interior?
Thanks all.
Peter

I dunno about all of the upgrades, but I'm pretty sure (in fact, almost positive) that at the very least, the glass rear window, and tranny tweak did make it to the US for 2002. 26-27k is pretty good deal, IMO. I doubt you'll find a better deal than that. Anyone, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
that is an excellent price for an s2k. But for me i had to wait for the 2002 model. I couldnt deal w/ the plastic rear window. The tranny was addressed as well. Also on the interior instead ofusing carpet on the center console they went w/ the leather trim all around. Plus i like the 2002 Sebring silver more than the older silver..but that is personal preference.
