so as it says.. wahts the deal with the yellow CRXs? i hear rumors of a curse? (hah) and how rare are they? ive had a few EF's before but never a CRX.. im contemplating selling my EG and getting a y49 Si i have access to. that way i have a reliable car AND have some dinero to pay off bills....

it would probably just get a ZC and some coilovers... and be a DD

so clue me in. how rare is this color? the car is a 91 if that makes a difference

I have Y-49 and have only had issues that any other CRX of the same age and mileage would have.

Wait till Bart arrives he will lay it all out for you. Bart loves Y-49's.

When **** goes wrong with my car I get mad at the curse, not my car.
But really though, I've had no more trouble with this CRX then any of my other 5.

I've never had an error with Firefox. While posting this on my first attempt. it locked up now I have to rewrite. Coincidence I think not.

I've never owned a y-49, nor will I ever. I've had friends that have, and have had nothing, but problems.

Seven years ago at Niagara 6 we were driving home from the meet, and of the 8 crxes with us. The only y-49 car blew it's diff in the middle of Buffalo in the ghetto. The next weekend we towed it to my house with a car dolly, changed the tranny, and got stopped for street racing later that night. He is no longer into CRXes, the curse must have drained him of ambition. I loved that car, it was my all time favorite y-49 so I will post the pic below.



Another friend of mine bought a y-49 and was driving it home, and the wheel cylinder broke a block away from the house he bought it from. Then a tow truck came, and it's wheel cylinder broke while loading the car. So then 2 more tow trucks were needed. The curse went outside..... He since then had several other problems, and eventually destroyed the car with a sawzall to prevent future problems.

About 2 months ago Toad calls me up stranded. His car won't run some kind of voltage issue. I rescue him with my jump box, and we remove his 2 week old alternator took it to autozone and it tested dead. Killed by the curse.

A week ago I was at G0crxG0's house, and we recorded my KRX vids. Notice in the out of car vid, my brake light on the driver's side was out. It worked that morning. When I was at his house the curse from his car blew my bulb. Yeah whatever you say, but Ironicly the same bulb was out on his car. Don't park to close to a y-49 guys.

Micheal Jackson Bought a y-49 CRX after his "Bad" Album. Then he became a pediphile freakshow, and released "Dangerous" in 1992. The begining of the end of his career. Coincidence I think not.

The curse is real. You are kidding yourself if you refuse to beleive in it. I'm sure if you wrote the President of Honda asking why there was no 91 y-49 he would recall clearly the day the Department of Public Safety shut down the importation, and registration of yellow CRXes.

I think what it comes down to is the fact the original owners of y-49 cars tend to not take care of them. Atleast that's what i've noticed with the ones around here.

to lazy to post my 5 page story of our Y49... man it spit the motor out 3 times when we put a d15 (temporary) in. i mean literly... put it in reverse and the motor mounts snapped... lol

im not too much into superstition... id like to think of it as theres a supposad curse.. so anytime somehting happens to a y car youre MUCH more likely to hear about it because its "cursed" where as when a blue car spits out 2 alternators in a week.. its just " a shitty rebuild job by the maker"

theyre old cars... they go out on occasion.


im sticking to that philosophy
