Default CA:b16 build limits and smog

Ok,here's the situation.I have a completely stock 98 civic coupe with a y7.Even though this car will be my DD,I still want a little more power,so I did some research and decided to go boost with a goal of 180 whp.I just forgot about onething...smog.I don't want to spend all that money putting together a kit, getting it tuned, and installed and then have to take it off for smog and pay for the same things all over again.
I figured the safest thing to do is use my extra b16 head, and pistons from my all motor project and put together a b16 swap and get it refd and the extra turbo parts can now go to my other car.

I'm just curious to know how far some of you have went with a smog legal b16.I know the standard I/h/E.Has anyone bored their block out a little,or used a higher compression piston, what about a 1.7 or 1.8 vtec crank?I'm just curious to know how far I could go and still be smog legal.Thank you for your time, and any feedback will be greatly appriciated.

if you really must go the twin cam route then you can swap out everything for type r parts i.e. pistons cam's crank all of that internal crap
OR you could always build upon your under rated single cam
but always remember the golden rule!
N/A is always best turbo’s are just for people who are crap slow *** drivers
