Default how much faster are v6 accords?

Alright so i was cruising down town when these 2 girls pull up in a 6th gen v6, completely stock.. the light changes and they kinda take off really fast, so i was like okay ill show 'em.. so i punch it and im thinking i will leave them, well they punch it too, and they just left me like i was standing still :/ i was so embarrassed i slammed on the brakes and turned off so i wouldnt be next to them and see them laughing at me

so my question is, did they just get a good head start, or the v6 accords THAT much faster?

My mom has a V6 Accord coupe, 6th gen. They are quite peppy off the line believe it or not...but once you get past about 60mph, it starts to loose the pep. So if you got a car with a lot of high end, after about 60mph you will start gaining on it.

My car stock ran a 15.61@87.99mph. Stock 4 cylinder 6th gen accords run around a 16.8 or so with a 5 speed and the 5th gen Ex stock runs around a 16.6. The V6 is very quick from a punch at cruising speed and will keep up with cars over 1 second faster than it in the 1/4 mile through 90+mph if it is driven right. There really isnt lag as that other guy desribes over 60mph as it doesnt even get out of 2nd gear until somewhere around 70mph and 3rd is still pritty quick.

the v6's have a lot more tourque than the 4 cyl.'s and therefore they get a better response when they 'punch' the gas...but the 60 mph thing is true...depending on your mods you may be able to catch em due to their wieght problem...(haha man...you got toasted by some chicks...sucks to be you! hahah )

I dont know how it cant be driven right but the other Stock V6 Accords I have seen run run in the 16.3 second range and mine is in the 15.6-15.8 second range stock so I guess I have some skill to get it to launch like that. I know I did play with the brake torquing quite a bit to get it to the 15.61 second range

yeah if you brake torque correctly you can get slightly faster times than the times u would get if you just floored it when the light turned green.

Believe it or not, driving an automatic isnt just mashing the gas and going. Auto's take a little skill and a touch of experience with the particular car. If you mash an auto as opposed to moderating pedal travel at around redline, your times will be slower.

94 accord lx with quite a bit of modification. the more i think about it, the more im starting to think that the girl got a really good head start. my car isn't really that great down low also, since i have 2.5" exhaust all the way back and a test pipe

it will take a 94 lx quite a few mods to keep up...your looking at a stock 17 second car vs a stock high 15 second car

plus the new v-6 performs as a low 15 second car on the highway...it has really good top end
