I thought about buying an 04 accord lx 4cyl 5MT, then putting an rsx-s head on it. Has this been done before? I searched the accord forum and couldn't find anything about it. How much of a hp increase could you expect by doing this, with a hondata reflash? Where is a good place to find an rsx-s head, besides h-t and ebay? How much can you get one for?

 

Yes, it can be done. Everything you'd ever want to know about the head swap can be found on http://www.k20a.org. Last time I checked, the info was spread out over a few threads, so you'll still need to do some searching and reading. You can estimate the power increase from the same threads. I don't know where and for how much you can find an rsx head, simply because I've never looked for one.

 

If you're going to go to this trouble, i'd also change out the transmission. All K series trannies are generally similar, but i'm not sure if every single one is interchangable. If they are though, i'd recommend getting a tranny with better gear ratios to get the most out of the head swap. Something like an RSX-S, or the new Si with the 6 speed LSD tranny.
