Does anybody know if the bulbs in the jdm eg6 white face cluster are what makes the cluster light up amber? or does the cluster have something internally that gives the amber look? I noticed some of the bulbs had like a clear blue condom......I also noticed when i bought my ebay jdm climate control and replaced the burned out bulbs it didn't light up amber.........thank you for any future replies.

 

For the EG6 cluster, the cluster itself is what provides the amber glow. The bulbs are clear.

For the climate control, you have to take the bulbs out of the JDM version, since they are amber and give it color, not the face.

paint the new bulb with lots (3-4) of coats of ORANGE enamel! can be bought at home depot... the lil spray can i used red enamel

 

The inner part of the gauge faces have an amber coating, so when the light shines through the numbers, it's amber.

The climate control face is supposed to have the amber coating on the inside, but has amber condoms over the bulbs too.
