I put some EG/DC bilsteins in the rear of my EJ1 civic. They run out of travel and the springs are uncaptive when i set it low.
HOWEVER! when this same setup is in a EG or DC they can go very low and still remain captive
Does anyone know if the rear mounting point on the tower is higher up in the arch on a EJ compared with a EG/DC??
if the mounting points are different this would help my confusion out alot before i go getting different shocks

Well the rear of a EJ is not like a EG sedan or hatch, therefore I thought this may be the reason why there is differences in height.
no installation problems, iv been building hondas for about 5 years now

Yet you don't know that the suspension of an EJ is the same as an EG or DC?
Did you reverse the springs? Put the rear on the front and the front on the rear?

We don't get many EJ's in New Zealand only EG and DC VERY few EJ's
Therefore I only assumed it was identical but Im asking here for proof that the top mounting points for the rear shock is exactly the same height as a EG/DC
so can anyone else confirm its exactly the same, not just info that someones mates brothers sisters unlce has told them (u get alot of that on here
)

they are exactly the same. 2dr, 4dr, even hatches all have the same. civic and integra suspension are the same. with minor differences, and when i say minor i mean like, drums versus discs, type r LCA vs. civic LCA.
now i noticed that you're from new zealand. this is how they are here in the states.
now, i know in japan the EG6 has LCA as the same as our(USDM) integra type r. that's possible that they're the same down under? i would double check what type you have, but once again they are interchangable.

Ok thanks for all the info
Yes in newzealand all our JDM EG's and DC's up until 95/96 had an eye type LCA, except out NZ new cars (sam as yours) had fork LCA
however because my car is an EJ1 (made in mexico, thats what the wiring says on it)
It had the fork type LCA
I swapped this for a DC integra trailing arm and disc and LCA also so i could run my Eye type Bilsteins
The shop i got the shocks off says they go low on EG/DC and wondering why my ones can't go low, hence me asking about differences

Yeh all the wiring is MADE IN MEXICO
it has a VIN yes
400lb in front and 300lb in rear
but they have coil over sleves on them and keeper springs
I had the keeper at the bottom and not the top so ill see how that affects it
