93 hatch w/ ls swap

sputtering when i punch the gas?
my 93 civic hatch just got a ls dropped in it and now has problems. as the title says. at idle it will sputter every now and then with may be a few seconds in between. and when i drive, its fine, until i try to gun it in any gear. it starts sputtering for a couple seconds then takes off. my friends have given me a few ideas on what it could be but i just wanted another opinion. if any of you "Honda-techs" can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
