Default Exedy Clutch?

Well, my OEM clutch is on it's last legs, slipping like oprah winfrey on ice skates.
I have been looking around and I found a pretty good deal on an exedy shown here http://www.clutchcityonline.com/raci...pec/08-805.htm .

A few Q's though...

1. Is the organic version streetable? I am used to my nice soft clutch and do not want too much of a difference..

2. Is this enough holding power? My future plans for this car include boost.

Any help appreciated, thanks guys! =]

I have a clutchnet stage 2. It's not as good a deal as the exedy, but it isn't very expensive. Pedal feel is actually lighter than stock, but it's a little harder to drive at first just b/c it engages a lot quicker. My friend always makes the car buck when he tries to start it, especially in traffic, which is very annoying. I am completely used to it though and am very happy with it. It has been holding my power perfectly. The exedy is fine for a small turbo, but I have heard it wears out quick with a decent sized one like 4bidden said.

If you look at the % of increase in holding power over stock, it's only at 36% which is not much. I was going to buy the Exedy as well, but when I saw the 36% I went with the clutchnet stage 2. It's about $30 more, but well worth it.

Organic is not for racing and sprung hubs are bad news. Go with something like this and you'll be cooo. This clutch actually has decently smooth engagement.

Most people say an unsprung 6-puck is a pain on the street, but I have never driven one personally.

Engagement characteristics of a clutch is more dependent on friction material than anything else.

You can have a 3 puck kevlar disc and it will be smooth as silk. On the other hand you can have a 12 button copper-metallic disc and you be in shakertown all the time.
