Dependent upon the condition of your Type-S, you can expect to get 10-12k on your car, according to http://www.kbb.com
* * * ESTIMATED NUMBERS * * *
New s2000 = 35,000
Your pay off on your car = 6,000.
Pushes the price of the s2k up to 41,000
Amount they will give you for your car = 12,000
Brings the s2000 down to 29 + TTl. Come up with some cash, and you should be alright.
The difference between what your car is worth, and what you owe on it will be added back into the price of the new car. So say you have a 40,000 dollar car that you owe 20,000 on. The will take 40,000 off the new car initally. But then they will add in to the price of the new car the amount they paid to pay your current car off.
That difference is generally called the "payoff" value.
Easy to understand?
