Default Alternate option for VSS?

Well...
I purchased a transmission with a Quaife Differential installed. Everything looks great, trans shifts fine, differential really makes a difference in low speed turns, but the VSS is not working. I looked in the hole, and notice that the VSS Gear was not pressed onto the differential. Is there another option for replicating a Vehicle speed signal without removing the transmission? I will do it if I have to but this sucks, no vtec... any help is appreciated.

I think he would still need some sort of VSS if he wants a speedometer wouldn't he? That would only alow him to get VTEC back and remove the stock speed limiter.

Yeah, I would like a speedometer, but honestly, could do with out. The only problem is, I am planning on selling the car, and most buyers might want to know how fast they are going. I think I will just have to pull the transmission and get the gear installed. Talk about a kick in the pants.

Many states have check boxes on the title for:

Actual Mileage
Unverified Mileage
Exceedes the mechanical limits of the odometer.

You'll be cherry, come on Dan, just order the exciter ring!
