Default For those with B16/B18 engines that are using lightened flywheels

A friend of mine is considering getting a Jun Ultralight flywheel for his B16 powered 1995 Honda Civic hatchback. He is somewhat unsure since many people have told him that installing a lightweight flywheel will hurt badly his B16 engine torque numbers and thus is not a good investment. Can anyone running a lightweight flyweel on their B16/B18 engine provide some feedback regarding this?

Thanks,
Mark

i have a b16 with a JUN flywheel. It really helps alot in acceleration and am really happy with it. I would defenetely tell your friend to get one.

Very good investment... It me tons, the torque may be lost due to lower inertia, but taking the weight off the drivetrain and or engine rotating assemble and the cars has less weight to spin up and it helps.
