NSX calipers on ITR??
Does anyone have NSX front calipers on their car, also can you fit them under the stock 15" rim? I might pick some up and was wondering if there will be any problems w/clearence or if they will fit at all.
what's the diff between the nsx and itr calipers?
Both front calipers use the same size brake pad, though.

They're not much lighter than the stock calipers but the feel is much better in my opinion. They're much easier to modulate and you also get better pad wear. The good thing is that they also fit under 15" spoonies.
i used to have nsx calipers. they fit under stock 15" wheels provided they are the early nsx calipers (before they went to 16" wheels). you do not have to replace the master cylinder, but be advised that they are designed for use with a 28mm rotor, not our 23mm ones that come on the itr. what this means is that the pistons have to come out farther to make up for it and the outboard pads are father out than the inboard ones. either shim it, or run legend gs coupe front rotors, which have the 28mm nsx thickness, but have the correct itr offset (or so i'm told).
it's a nice oem mod if u get them for cheap. with 28mm rotors u get better heat dissapation and modulation. you will gain some unsprung weight however. not much difference for street use, unless u brake hard alot.
I was checking out NSXPrime and found a few things:
94-Increased Tire/Wheel Sizes to 215ZR45 16" Front and 245ZR40 17" Rear
97-Front caliper pistons went from 40mm and 34mm to 40mm and 36mm.
It looks like you can fit the calipers up to 97 under the stock 15" wheels, because only the wheel sizes were increased in 94.

Heres some info:
New set Used Price
93-95 Legend LS Coupe (40mm and 38mm) $350+ $130+
94-95 Legend GS Sedan (40mm and 38mm) $350+ $130+
91-96 NSX (40mm and 36mm) $800+ $300+
Better deal to get Legend ones as they are cheaper and the 2nd caliper is larger.
However, NSX calipers have NSX stamped on them. Legend ones look stock.

All you need are front calipers. NO need for rears as they are the same 1-piston calipers.
Hmmm. Legend front calipers are dual piston? I have a '93 and they are big singles?
Can someone clarify; 1991 - 1993 NSX calipers and Legend GS rotors will BOLT ON to an ITR with no other mods like machining, custom brackets etc?

I have a pair of NSX calipers with mounting hardware. Includings pads from RM racing with like 80% of pads left. The pads along cost $175 new. This is from my friend's 91 NSX. We upgraded to Brembo big brake kit. $350 shipped.
