Default crankshaft wanted

well topic says it all i guess, but what options do i have for after market brands? a new oem costs almost a 1000$

have any of you stroked the c5 engine?

a spun road bearing made the old crank into a wall decoration wuhu

I have one also. You may want to consider just finding a GSR crank, and spend some money getting it balanced. Will probably be a cheaper option.

I believe the R crank is a bit heavier, no? I think its like 5-10 lbs. heavier....

I would only run an ITR crankshaft if I were using cast pistons. If you are using forged pistons then there is no need for the larger counter weights found on the ITR crankshaft.

Eagle forged cranks come knife edged and balanced. They have a great track record as well.

Heavier, yes.... 10 lbs, nooooo. I weighed them side by side back in the day, god knows where i have that written down.....

id put a ls crank in there and get it blue printed and balanced again. then u would have a home made stroker kit. ull make some good power that way

mine did not take so much abuse :s
i was thinking of forged pistons, but in this little hillbilly country like norway is it hard to find a good engine builder.

does eagle have the a crank with 87.2mm stroke?

looks like i found a Jerry built short block for a penny or two.
so the c6 block should be a spare block for building when i got extra time and money
