Just what the hell is that sound????
For some odd reason.. Only on colder days,{morn.particularly} There is this whoosing rattling noise only on my driver side. It starts as soon as i go about 15-30 M.P.H. At first thought maybe a loose splash guard or something. but no. cause after my car really warms up 10-20 min of driving. The sound goes away. Not only is it annoying but maybe it could be warning me of potential future mech prob. if anybody i mean anybody has had this happen to them or know what it is please post. 1990 Ls teg 5-speed no current mods attached.
sure it appears to be comming from driver side wheel well. its very prominent {loud} when the windows are rolled up. when i roll them down for a better sound it doesnt sound as bad. pretty sure its not belts i thought a dry axle or something suspension related but why would it go away once the car heats up? it sounds like a home fan running on high mode.
Well a good place to probably start is under the hood while the engine is idling and under the car to check for torn boots, apparent rotten bushings, anything else that might look problematic. On another note my mom lbj were shot on her exploer and it kind of made a squealing noise at the same speed, but she got them repalced and it sitll make noise again.
