Default 1998 accord clutch petel stays at the floor

The clutch petal stays at the floor untill I punp it up...whats has gone wrong...1998 accord 4 cly

Sounds like the clutch may be shot. It may be a slave cylinder as well.

It leaks by like a brake Master clyinder...how do I tell if its the one under the resevoir on the firewall or at the tranny

this happend to my brother and it was the slave cylinder, i also belive u have to change the master cylinder at the same time.

Did you just answer your question? Look above the brake and clutch pedals inside the car, where they meet the firewall. If that's leaking fluid, it's your master cylinder. Your slave cylinder is directly on top of your tranny, and has the hydraulic line and fitting going down into it. If either of those are leaking, you've found your problem. If not, then just check your fluid level in the reservoir under the hood, near the brake booster which is in front of the steering column.

I was told by the honda dealership that the cylinders were 'revised' and upgraded, and I would have to replace both cylinders, and the hard line itself.... Which I did. Others say there's no reason to replace anything but the defective cylinder. It's up to you what you do.
