Default A/C Question

I have a 1993 Cx civic hatchback. the car does not have a/c in it, and it never had a/c. i want to install a/c. the guy i am buying the a/c from says he has everything but the part that goes inside the dash, like the filter or box or whatever it is..

my question is, does that part already come inside the car and used for the normal air flow through the vents, like for the heater or outside air for example. so all i would have to do is hook up the a/c parts in the engine bay area?

Basically, do i have to get that part and take out my dash to install a/c?

it's easy to put it all in. if you lack mechanical skills don't try it. but overall it's not too tough, just take your time. you don't have to mess with the dash, just remove the glove box. i've removed ac from at least 5 different hondas so it's just the reverse.

I also need help in the same subject... i have a swapped b16a

I have all the parts for the A/C in the engine bay, due to the fact that when i put my swap in, i just took all the A/C stuff out... as in the A/C lines, Compressor, Belt, Bracket, Condensor with Fan, Wire Harness, and what not.

But what is this filter box that i have to go through the glove box for? I don't remember taking out a A/C box... someone have a pic?

look underneath your glove box. you will see a black box like unit bolted to the firewall. you probably didn't remove it when you removed the other components.
