Bottom of cylinder #1 has a slight notch from getting water inside the engine. So it probably needs to be resleeved. Engine only had like 45K when pulled.

is there anything wrong with the crank and rods? or is it just the sleeves? is it missing anything?

 

the crank should be fine. The rods, well cylinder #1 might be bent and as far as the others go they might not have anything wrong with them because there was no damage to the other cylinders. It had a knock, so i pulled the oil pan off and you can see the slight notch on the bottom of that cylinder wall. I'll see if i can get some clear pics of that soon.

 

theres nothing missing on the shortblock right? is it complete?

 

Like what are you worried about missing? The only thing that "is missing" is the water pump, but when honda sends you a shortblock it doesnt come with one. Im just wondering what you mean "is there anything missing". ROTATING ASSEMBLY is complete with an oil pan and girdle/balancer shafts.

 

i was just wondering so i know what i would need to buy for the short block if anything was incomplete

 

Well I *might* have a water pump for if the CRV water pump is the same. I'll have to run the part numbers and see if they are the same. Its brand new and OEM Honda part.
