WTFFFFF IS UP WITH MY ACCORD...
I own a 92 accord wagon. I have had some issues with it lately, with the car just dieng on me. It will be on, and then just cut off. I have tried replacing many parts but to find out that it just dies again.
I have replaced: Plugs, wires, rotor, cap, main relay, icv. I just started the car, it was on for about 5 mins or so, and then it will just stall and die. I dont know what the problem could be, no engine check light, or anything of that sort.
I am running out of patience and money, trying to get this thing working, any advice or help would be appreciated. I am not sure, what the problem could be? any ideasss from the gurus

hey another 4th gen wagon. have you checked you ground or the connection to the distributor. do you get any weird idles or anything.
The idles, use to be all under 900rpms, like it would go crazy. I had a broken icv valve that i replaced, the car started up fine. IDle was held at 900, for about 10 mins, and then it just died off.
I had a friend tell me if might be the alternator killing ur battery, but does that sound right?

Sounds like an ignition switch might be getting weak, with the steering column shroud removed, you can see the electrical part of the switch. When the contacts are bad from poor connection, the solder will have a frosty look from the overheating. Another common symptom is the key will get warmed up when the car is running, or when the car shuts off there are no idiot lights. The electrical part of the switch comes as a seperate part.

Anything with feul, that might be a problem? i am trying to get the ignition switched out, but i just wanna dbl check on any feul issues that these accords have. Feeul pressure regulator? feul pump? THe car starts, so i doubt it could be any feul issues, but then again i am not a mechanic. thanks
egr ports? not sure what this will do to the car, but does it sound like something i need to replace or do something,......
got that replaced a long with other parts. THe only 2 things left that i think are the problem is the ignition switch, or feul pressure regulator. I am not sure wich one of them is the problem, the car turned on and was running fine like there isnt an issue. Then just dies, or slowly dies.
Any way to check the feul pressure regulator to see if its working?
thanks for the help

No problem, the ignitor is an electronic module that lives in the distributor and is responsible for triggering the spark. Mine was sreawing up intermitantly for about a month before the garage finally found it.
When it dies, does it start right back up? If it does, I suspect the ignition switch. If it doesn't, suspect the fuel pump. You need to do a little troubleshooting though. Don't just keep buying parts until you've narrowed the problem down. Links on troubleshooting below. Good luck

I have tried to swap out the starter portion of the ignitio switch. Here are a few questions.
Would a coil out of a civic fit into an accord? i Had an extra one for my civic, and dont feel like spending 65 on a new one.
