Ok...I was driving my car home from work the other night and all the sudden I wasnt getting any throttle response so I pulled over on the side of the road and turned it off and then tried starting it again and it tries to turn over but the engine doesnt fire up...all my lights and radio and gauges still work though. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

 

Did your battery indicator turn on while driving?, any dim lighting? does it turn over but not start?, could be a sign that your distributor took a sh*t on you I had the same exact problem about a month ago, found out it was my distributor. But if it is your distributor, i suggest that you don't turn on any of your lights, stereo,..you'll drain the battery.

 

have you done the basics like checking for spark and fuel?

 

No none of my lights came on and all of them work....no battery or fuel light or anything came on just stopped.No dim lighting or anything when i pulled over and was waiting for my ride to pick me up i was listening to the radio and using and overhead light for @ least 1/2 hr and nothing seemed wrong there.Like i said it tries to start but just wont...i just dont know

 

i'm throwin out maybe a fuel pump? correct me if i'm wrong though....or if it just seems bogus
