Default Change VTEC in GSR with chipped ecu?

I've done a search and still couldn't find an answer. My setup is a internally stock GSR B18C1 with intake, Skunk 2 manifold, 4-1 header, and exhaust. Right now I'm running a chipped JDM P72 with a P30 base map scaled to a 1.8 liter.

The VTEC is set at 5800 (I'm assuming that's for the Si VTEC motor) and I was wondering if I should change it to a GSR's engagement point (4400).

My main concern is that the fuel and ignition tables are tuned for VTEC to kick in at 5800 and if I set it that low then I'll lose power, am I right?

Thanks fellas!

only a dyno will tell the best place to set the VTEC point.

you can throw in a guess, reburn the chip and cross your fingers. (5k-5200)
an educated guess... go by the fuel maps, where the fuel consumption crosses (low/high maps) that should be close to where you want it.

This is all for a tuned map though. Untuned maps, you're simply playing with fire.

Since you dont have the GSR intake manifold on the car anymore you dont have use of the secondaries. The GSR ECU is map'd to make use of them and kick's vtec at 4400 along with the secondaries at about 5600ish. With the single runner manifold your car will not like the vtec engagement point at 4400 anymore with out some tuning. I would leave it where is it for now untill youcan get someone to tune it on the dyno. That is the opnly way to find the correct engagement point for you motor. I would guess that it will be somewhere in the low 5's but it will vary from motor to motor due to overall set up !!
