Cobalt GT Sports for winter?
Hi Guys,
I currently have Axxis Ultimates and Brembo Blanks on my 2000 Si and I am thinking of going to Cobalt GT Sport pads. I live in Boston however, and so I wanted to know peoples opinion of how the pads perform in cold snowy weather... will it be not that much worse than the Ultimates, or is it a bad idea? Also I talked to Richard at Cobalt (Andie is away) and he said that the GT Sports and he said the GT Sports in the winter is a bad idea, but I remember reading on a post that people used them and didnt have a problem with them.
Thanks in advance

I put them on my auto-x and track day car and while amazing on the track they don't really heat up to operating temp on a short 30-35 sec. auto-x course. Based on that, I would not recomend them for daily driver use let alone winter use. Throw some cheap stock pads in there for the winter.
I have another question. I was also considering Carbotech Bobcats and I was wondering if there is a good combination of Bobcats on the front and something on the rear? If i wanted something that cost a bit less on the rears, what are your recommendations?
Thanks again guys
Thanks again guys
gt sports in winter = extremely bad idea
i would sometimes put them in the day before a track event when i lived in cali, and the drive to the track was downright scary when it came time to stop.
find an alternative.
