OT: Ever get haters who diss on the Rotas?
yep I get that all the time. I usually ask what they are running and they usually have some america's tire special's (50lb) a piece rims or the stock 14' steelies. To the haters out there

Not yet, but I'm sure billy club may come out if I ever do. Unless you're paying for my wheels, don't say a word. I was actually just looking for another set of OEM wheels when I came across the Rotas.
I would love for someone to say something though

I think the problem is that they are blatant Spoon copies. I personally would never buy a copied wheel, but to each their own.
Regardless of quality, weight, etc...a copy is a copy. I'm sure a fake Tag Heuer keeps good time too.
Don't flame me--I'm just stating the opinions of some.

yep, my Rotas bring on the haters but mine are wrapped in Advan AO32R on my daily driver and I have found that those tires keep the 'hater' comments away
for the 1500 you'll save do some mods so the "haters" will see the back of your car.
damn you can get a hytech header and still have like a couple hundred to work with.

Ive owned Desmond Regamaster before. I literally spent $2100 on tires and the wheels including shipping/mounting. I sold them just recently too.
Anyhow, if I were to do it again, I would have definitely bought the Rota instead. Save over $1000. To some, spending the extra $1000 is no thang, so?
Do the math:
Rotas w/ Tires ~ $800
Desmond/Spoon w/ Tires ~ $2100+
Weight difference is EXTREMELY marginal 7lbs to 11lbs
$1200 does not justify 4 pounds, plus some tires are lighter, you can save there.
This is my opinion, not starting a flame.
