Car jerks hard when deacelerating...
So this problem started a couple days ago. Everytime I down shift and give it no throttle, the car will jerk pretty hard, and I notice the rpms abruptly drop a couple hundred rpms each time it jerks. It does it pretty much anytime I let off the throttle, in the lower rpms, till about 3.5K, anyone have an idea of what this might be?
No trust me it's not that. I usually rev match most all the time, even when it's fully in gear, I can leave it to rev down from like 5k rpms to like 1.5k, and the whole times it's jerky, like the engine's missing, and the whole time it doesn't even deaccelerate smooth on the tach, the taach jumps down when it jerks. Anyone else got any ideas? I tihnk it's related to it having no throttle, cause it only does it when I completly let off the gas and of course down shifting.
Bump. I tihnk the problem's getting a bit worse. When I'm in first or any gear, I give it a bit of gas, to rev it slowly, and I can feel and watch the tach raise a bit erraticly like it's missing, it doesn't rev up smooth either, and it doesn't rev down smooth, this problem is really annoying, it seams to do ok under WOT though, and half throttle, any got any ideas? Maybe this is ignition related?
Watch under your car for fluid leaks. I had this same problem, it wound up being a pin in the differential that slipped out, it would catch occasionally and give me the jerking sensation on downrevs. Eventually the pin blew through the trans housing. All my tranny fluid poured out in the driveway overnight. I hope this isn't your problem but I wouldn't be suprised.
