Default OT: For all your racing simulator fans. Technology is finally on our side!

Well, I was reading up in the RR forum and came across something I've been looking for, for years. Sure, everyone's played GT4 with the logitech 900 degree wheel, but that was then, this is now.

Logitech has released a preview to what's coming out in October. Finally we get a gated shifter and a clutch pedal on a simulator. Only $300 too!!! I guess I'm going to go ahead and preorder this thing.

There's some sample pics in this thread. No real write up's yet but I figured there's a lot of track guys here so I'd give you guys a heads up.

I'll take whatever kind of practice I can get. We loaded GTR with Sebring last week to get me familiar with the course. Sure, it's not the real thing, but at least it's some sort of a heads up.

<---- Knows Jeff will be looking into this soon too.

lol crazy. I assume you would have to build some kind of seating configuration to keep all these gadgets from moving around while "driving"?

and dont some nascar guys use this **** to familiarize themselves with tracks?

too bad I sold all my video game **** a long time ago.

I wonder if the brake and clutch pedal will have some sort of feedback to them.

That was my biggest issue with playing F355 Challenge, I couldn't determine how much the car was braking because the brake pedal felt like there was air in it.... ok I just suck at the game, but still

I second that. And that clutch...man...must be a leaky master cylinder!

But wait, PC only?

Ok, last night at the softball game, I freak'n fell down running to 3rd & only 'rolled' within 3 ft of the bag....you think I'm going to be a gamer???

Dude - I'm a "loser" not a gamer

**NOTE: I wish I had video of my fall...it was HILARIOUS - "fat man roll'n"! btw - I was safe because the 3rd baseman missed the ball when he looked to see me fall

I hope they release this for Playstation, when/if the new Gran Turismo arrives.

Even today, F355 Challenge is one of the best games i`ve ever played.
Though, I agree with you on the brake pedal issue.

It's basically the old GT wheel, with some upgrades. It's set to be released for Play Station and PC.

GT4, controller only I'm at 98.4% Only both 24 hour Sarths, 4 hour roadster, Last driving mission and I think 2 more endurance races and I'm done. Then, I'll buy this setup and do it all over again!!! Well, that is unless GT5 comes out.
