My cd player will not turn off. Please help
When i orginally bought my 95 honda accord ex it had the stock tape deck in it. Occasionally it would not turn off when I turned my car off, I couldn't figure out why. I figured something wrong with the wiring. So I rewired everything and put in my Pioneer Premier Deh-p780mp. I also used a wiring harness made specificly made for my car and I double check all the wiring. I have had it in for about 2 weeks and all of a sudden tonight at work it did it again. When I turned the car off instead of the cd player turning off immediately like it is supposed to, it stays on for like 15 seconds and then turns off. Incidently, my power antenna broke today, would that have anything to do with it at all? I am thinking not considering it was doing it before. Please help me, this is very annoying and I need to figure out what is causing this. ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.
It is hard to say what the problem may be, you would need to test your acc. power lead to see if there is still power on it when the ign. is turned off, [and the HU is staying on] if you think it may be the "broken" power ant., [putting 12V+ "into" the power ant. lead can keep a HU on even if HU is turned off] to check if it is the power ant. disconnect the power ant. control lead on your HU, if problem goes away then there is an intermittent short in your power ant. between the 12V+ constant and the 12V+ control lead from the HU, [sending power from the ant. back to the HU].

I think it may be an intermittent short in the remote wire because sometimes my amp will turn off too. But the thing is, would that keep the cd player on after the key is turned off if it was a short? I mean it turns itself off after like 10-15 secs. It stopped doing it today when I went to work. It's frustrating that it only does it sometimes, because i can never trace it down.
If it was a short to ground it would blow the HUs acc. fuse. it sounds more like a short to 12V+, maybe in the power ant.
Disconnect the power ant. control lead from the power ant. and see what happens.
