the b16 tranny with lsd is definitely going to make it a bit faster, but top out a lot sooner. Around 125

I never under stood the poor mans R at all but w/e.

your tranny is holding you back a ton, no need for that intake mani at all on your setup, well being S2 ever

Turning over to obd1 will give you a ton more tuning opts.

For a good header look into rage or spark, dont waste your time with anything less, the "worst" header i'd use is a late model jdm ITR.

You could benifit from bit larger cams, also if you are using stock gsr head parts keep your rpm still to 8200. Your current cams will want to go higher but your block and head wont. When you were building the motor stuffing in some ARP bolts would have been a wise cheap move.

What kind of cars you beat really doesn't say anything a time slip does, you can't really vouch for his driving or how well it setup was running etc.

yeah i know about beating cars....this is a "supposed 13 sec everyone on the street is afraid to race in my town car" i call BS on it......
i also have the first gen S2k manifold that is an ITR copy, not that new huge one LOL
i will put more into it later...but i have to get some money, all i know is that stock B16A exhaust manifold is killing, hopefully this weekend the person who is rolling around with my DC sports 4-1 on his LS/vtec will give it back since he is going turbo. also the poor man's ITR, the B16 head supposedly flows better than a GSR blah blah blah, i kinda like my tranny though, i hated all the shifting with my Y1, then i let some kid drive it and the differential blew like 2 days later....TY for the suggeestions, this build was done basically with parts that were given to me....i have like 400 into it

Now thats a great setup for the money.
oh and I gained 0 from swapping my oem gsr mani to a dc header. Even thought it was free I hate the thing, look at a spark header great bang for the buck.

I don't know what to say really if you want long gears because well you need short *** gears to go fast when you multiply 3 feet lbs of torque you gotta multiply them alot That ls tranny will always be a weak link in your setup, GSR hyrdo is a good deal shorter but not anywhere like a y1.

good luck though and enjoy new motors are fun

i willl look into the spark head, i am using a stock B16 exhaust manifold, my old B16 pulled harder in the mid range, and top end than this one does...well it feels that way, the difference on the LS/vtec i did from stock to the DC was night and day....what is killing me, is when vtec kicks in it lags a little from 4800 to about 6 and then smacks 8K like a raped pig, i really need the OBD-1 and you would be surprised at the A1 tranny in a very very light car with a 8LB flywheel.....1st takes me to 40, 2nd to almost 70, 3rd to 100, i can usually be get up to about 80-95 before the end of the on ramp, but i do see what you are talknig about on tranny, my Y1 was not much different
1st was 42 2nd was 65 and 3rd was 90, i will look into that spark header, i used to have a xtune, not a bad header at all
