rare ys1 tranny?
As I understand it;
Early YS1's (90/91) had smaller splines than the latter ones (92/93). That may be what you are thinking about.
It's the latter style that you want due to interchangability of gears out of a "hydro" transmission.

^^ Wes is correct but, only on 92-93...they are highly desireable if they are the short geared version from either a USDM 92-93 GSR or the JDM 92-93 Integra XSi
I have one available....but, I want a pretty penny for it

There is no 1990-1991 YS1. In 1990-1991, there was an A1, J1, S1, and Y1.

I don't know of any 4WD DAs. Definitely not the XSi. Are you sure you are not confused with the EF?

I believe there was some model integra that used a D series motor with AWD.. trying to remember which one (DA/DC), but it was jdm only I believe. I saw it in a brochure once.
ok, from wikipedia:

The engine was actually a sohc ZC

dont you think its odd that they made a 4wd w/ a zc? ... i dont think there really was a 4wd there was a thread about it a while back. i cant remember waht they came up with. but i think they found out it was false information. and is realyl a 2wd zc integra(i think it was someonwtih with a ZXi or something tht poasted his car up... explaining it wasnt 4wd)
i'm pretty sure it was the ZXi or Xi4wd

I also remember a thread a while back (can't remember the forum) but a guy in australia had imported one and had all the requisite pics in the thread so i'm sure that it was a jdm model.

Basically, the highly desired, short geared YS1 tranny was in production for 92-93 models only, and in vtec equipped models only!!
They are are cable style, large splined (just like newer hydro gearboxes).
No DA ever came 4 wheel or AWD!

one time i blew my tranny in my crx and this guy had a ys1 and he thought it was a d-series cable tranny, i bought it for 40 dollars and it was perfect, no grinds or anything
the funny thing is i called him and told him about it after it was in my car and he wanted me to return it and he was really mad.
it was a guy from honda-tech too, so thats even funnier
